Albert Benichou, a French Moroccan Jew who lives in Berkeley, California, is a unique musician - a religious Jew opposed to the crimes of Zionism. His consistent opposition to the occupation, especially during the offensive in Gaza, eventually got him kicked out of the orthodox synagogue where he prayed for many years and led services as well as read torah. Albert now prays alone and his only prayer is undoubtedly true. His first album, out recently, contains many political songs, including this particular one related to the Israeli - Palestinian conflict. He writes and composes most of his songs and performs in the U.S. these days. We hope he'll perform in Israel and Palestine soon...
